I think he deserved what he got and more for the way he handled the situation. And the fact that he didn't see it coming amazes me.

There are far more effective (and safer!) ways to deal with resource guarding than this.

Wow, talk about dealing with food aggression entirely the wrong way. Poor dog.

Exactly.

I really wish one day, instead of the scared insecure dogs that he manages to bully, that he gets a really hard tough dog, one that when he tries all his jabbing, will turn around and put him in hospital. THEN he might start to learn that there are other methods.....

Why people allow him near any dog is beyond me

That was pretty shocking. At the beginning he was spoiling for a fight with the dog. The 'touch' and his posture were totally inappropriate and frankly stupid. Poor dog being pushed to attack like that. How many people watch his shows and try to emulate him? So sad.

I think the point is that he created the situation in the first place and made the dog feel that the attack was her only option, THEN put the boot in.

Lots judging by what I have seen. I have seen quite a few dog owners doing the kick thing he does when walking and the neck jab.

Train the dog to be happy with hands in her food bowl - or if he is too dumb for that then just leave her in peace to eat her food - there was no need for the fight anyways - and I agree with above - he went inb aggressive spoiling for a fight
