SPECIAL URGENT APPEAL, Charlie 4 yrs old Staffie
*Special Appeal*
Charlie Boy
Charlie came into our care on 14 January'10 due to his owner being unable to care for him due to ill health and was going to be pts if we did not take him into our care. As you can see Charlie is extremely overweight due to being overfed (basically killed with kindness) and lack of exercise by his owner. Sadly his physique resembles a pot bellied pig than a dog.
We are looking for a special person/couple to provide Charlie with a forever home or long term foster home to provide Charlie with the opportunity to become the dog he should be (I've seen a photo of Charlie as his former self and he was a cracking little dog and can be again). It will take a great deal of time & commitment to help and support Charlie in his weight loss. Do you feel you can offer Charlie this opportunity and a second chance to enjoy the good things in life?
Charlie is a lovely boy and is friendly & good natured. He loves people. We are unsure as to how he would behave around children as he lived with a single owner and did not have contact with children. In the past he loved his walks, he can cope with light exercise (a diet & exercise regime will be provided by a vet) and we hope he will grow to enjoys his walks and new experiences he has sadly missed in his life of late. He dislikes other dogs and cats and needs to be an only dog in a home. He is housetrained. Is fine being left home alone and is not destructive. He loves the car and travels well.
He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed & microchipped.
Charlie is presently in
kennels at the moment and we would love to find him that special forever or long term foster home. If you feel you can offer that 'special home' to Charlie, please contact Christine Henderson on 07935243550.
