with my high pressure steam cleaner and a couple of jars of red paint it would only take a day at the most.

this was built for the Egyptian queen but she never stayed there.

Just a few painted daisys on the wlls to finish of the overall effect would do it I think

Abu simbel. this was reconstructed here when Lake Nasser was built and would have been under water. it is exactly as was and rebuilt exactly stone by stone.

Physically you can't get close to them



But photographically you can



our tour guide standing in copies you can buy




when we were there they had stopped excavation because as soon as the figures were exposed to the air all the colours faded away.
the location of the actual emperors tomb is known whose army you know about but not going to betouched until this problem is solved
