June just be careful if you need to switch any electricity on. I think the insurers should look at it for you. Sounds as though Gordon Mac could do a bit of digging a hole if you are without toilet facilities. ttfn. then Sue can do some decorating.

Hes back with the bolt, says he's done the hard part now and the bolt went when he was putting everything back together.

In all fairness the bolt had probably been where it was for a good few years, part of life's rich tapestry as they say

One wonders what a bolt is for in a toilet? I do wonder with a house like our's, with it being a mid terrace, if we didn't have a house each side we would probably have fallen down by now. especially the way my husband slames the front door. Never could close a door quietly.

Not quite sure, its something to do with the flushing mechanism, just had a quick Workshop on it all from him, anyhow...We Have Toilet Facilities.....know what you mean about the door, one side of me is like that, their door sticks and everything shakes when they open and close it. Other than that they are nice so I don't mention it. About time they either got a new door or shaved it down a bit!!! Off on the bone run and to pay my debts to the garage after giving the girls a chicken drumstick, still pouring down here, need to get a move on, bone people keep ringing me, as though thats going to make things happen quicker

Glad to hear your plumber has nearly finished banging in the bathroom. The restoration of water closet facilities must be a relief. Must have been at it to some tune to snap your bolt off, but such is the way of the british workman either lazy or over-enthusiatic, at least you got the latter June. See Brenda has been overseeing the project closely and giving heavily of moral support, you know what they say "Misery loves company". Musn't be 'owt else to do in Sussex, 'cept ponder the outcome of distant plumbers banging and it's eventual outcome!lol! Hope the bone run is less eventful and that the garage bill is small. Eileen - Good luck with your hunt for appropriate ceramics. Bye fer now, work to do!
