Thank you! She is sweet and the three exploring pictures show how much freedom she has on the long training lead on my scooter when we are off the road and I can let her have the freedom. Not quite the same as being off lead but better than nothing, and I can pootle around following her so she can go more or less where she wants.

That rug really will have to be replaced though as her "accidents" during seizures have stained it badly and it will be cheaper to replace it than try to clean it. And who cares, I certainly do not.

I really must go round the Moshav taking more photos - it is such a lovely place to live.

Pereg is a lovely looking dog and as you say she can get to run around a bit on that long lead, it looks nice where she is sniffing and exploring. We have more or less abanded carpets in our house as the two hairy monsters just make them look worse than yours in no time

Oh she is a lovely girly! And I certainly recognize the impatient look she has in those first pictures... I get that just for stopping to put my shoes on!

The most important thing is that Pereg is happy. She has no idea that there is anything wrong with her but she certainly knows that I love her. She is not pretty really, just another black and tan mutt, but she is sweet, she has a lovely nature, and she is so gentle with me.

We were outside this morning so I could groom her. I sat on the wall round my little concrete "patio", the wall being made of breezeblocks three high, and she had her head on my lap with such a look of utter joy and contentment on her face, and I was going "dompy dompy dompy dompy dompy dompy domp" [as per the music of Prokovief's Romeo and Juliet] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB3sd2BAxys&feature=related

and she would have sat there all day.

So would I but it was far too hot!

[Could not have done it to the Tchaikovsky Romeo and Juliet fantasy overture because I have to fling my arms about "conducting" to that one!]
