25.06.2001 - 15.05.2011 our dear lad.

Today we sadly said a final good bye to Fable.

This morning he was fine, jumping around being his normal puppy self, like any other day - but this afternoon when I went to offer some chicken he refused, this is a first..the next half an hour, he went down hill, he was not standing, nor lifting his head, gums had gone totally white and he was life less. The worst thing I have ever watched. mum had him straight in the car to the vets, after a check over and scans it became clear Fable had cancer of the liver that had spread - his liver being at least four times the size it should be and his body had gone into shock, he also alot of fluid on the abdomen. Our vet said he wouldnt make the night, and it wouldnt be fair to hope for him to - so we made the choice to let our beautiful, happy lad go in peace.

so cruel, a few hours ago he seemed like any other happy dog bounding around, enjoying his run with Mace..

sweet dreams baby, hope they treat you well at the bridge - run to your hearts content you soppy chap with them big silly ears and that big floppy tongue flying around. I'll miss your bear hugs.

My heart really goes out to you tonight
we lost Lulu very suddenly 3 and a half months ago-one minute she was fine ,a few hours later she was gone-

We didnt think it was anything too serious -and were going to take her to the vet first thing next day-our other dog has dementia and we didnt want to leave him while we took Lulu to the vet.Keep asking myself-what if we had taken her???

Having to let them go is such a bad thing to have to face-but I know-and you know-that you did the right and kindest thing-its just that we are left with the terrible void once that decision is made.
Our other dog who has dementia has been really stressed out-more than usual-the last 2 days and I dread having to make that final decision

Hope that Sable and Lulu are happy together at Rainbow Bridge-
Sending you BIG HUGS to try and help you get through the terrible feelings of loss that you have -its so hard to try and remember the happy times when you feel so in shock and
devastated.
P.M me if it will help
Thinking of you
Maureen
