New sections...

Dogweb has become much more than just a dog site, I think more people 'hang around' on Dogweb than most other dog sites, thus making us a real 'community' site... so I thought we could add a few more sections for you guys - the humans!

We now have:

Entertainment
Films, Theatre, Books, TV, Music and Console Games.

Home and Garden
All home and garden related, from recipes to ornaments!

Health and Fitness
Everything health and fitness related, from diet to exercise

Your Reviews
Written a review you'd like to share? Do so here

Computer Help!
All computer related questions her

Games, Jokes and Funnies!
Find the games, jokes and funnies here...

Please use these sections - or if it will make things easier I will move the Off-topic' chat section down to the For us Humans Catergory...

Hmmm, too many sections could start to become overwhelming and a bit confusing. No.1 example of this being www.ncdsa.com. Any given post could quite comfortably fit in half a dozen different sections!

I don't suppose it's possible but I'll ask anyway Is there anyway to use active topics to just search for doggie topics today when I asked for active topics it was a list nearly 10 pages long

It's kinda possible Julie... If a bit tricky

If you go to advanced search and search for dog* (include the asterisk)

Under search options select Find Posts from - Your last visit - and newer.

And select the forums you're interested in on the right hand side (hold down ctrl to select more than one forum)

It wont find every post but it's maybe slightly better than the alternative

Like Carole I too like 'off topic' near the top, if it is moved lower down it will encourage people to post 'off topic' issues in 'dog related' so you will be moving things all the time.
Also if there are too many sections people will tend to ignore some sections.eg if I go to 'off topic' and see an item about a particular film, I may comment , but on many occasions I would not have time to go to a dedicated film section..so that is one comment less overall

A quick easy way is just to take a look on the right hand side (when you look at posts from last visit) and simply ignore the posts from non-doggy sections And having more sections now means it will be easier to find stuff that you are interested in
