If you could have a dog from your group?

Okay now just imagine that you couldn't have your breed of dog or one from the group.
ie If you have a Border Terrier you can't have BT or anyhting from the Terrier group.

What would you have?

If no Border Collies, probably Cocker Spaniels, as my Mum used to breed them. We had four, at one point:

Sally, Tina, Chota and Donna, 1972

Ummmm... I wouldn't be able to have any mastiff, herding or bull breed.. what's left?

I think I'd quite like a German Shorthaired Pointer, from working lines. I met some last summer when we were staying at a show in Somerset, they were gorgeous. Or a Weimeraner.. something big that could still hack out with me and the horses.

I have a labrador now, but if I couldn't have a retriever I would probablely get a GSD - longhaired - after having got to know my friends girl, Bella.

Thank you! ops:

Tina (2nd from left) was a rescue, Sally (first left) was the mother of the other two.

All are "at the Bridge" now :smt089 :smt089 :smt089 - they were good girls!

I would have a Lancashire Heeler (this was the very first breed of dog i had, my dad bought her for me on my first birthday and i had her for 17 years.) or a Chinese Crested, though i think my Hubby would have something to say about the last one, he really can't understand why i like them. Just to annoy him i have a pictuer of one on the fridge door
