Wow I've been there,at least the outside looks familar
Went with OH and my two daughters,youngest was 1 at the time.Wasn't in the best of form,turns out she had an ear infection,didn't know that then.I stayed outside trying to console her while hubby and oldest had the tour.Didn't mind,was more concerned with my child naturally,Untill after,the pair of them were going on about how great it was,all they'd seen and heard Was well peed off
Be going to San Fran in May,am determined to go see it,even if it is alone Knowing my luck they'll be something up with the ferry or they will have closed everything down

Little tip

If you want to do the tour book it and the ferry tickets from where you are before you go. They get sold out quickly.

Take a look at booking a trip to Yosemite National park well worth it and Muir woods there are only 2 places in the USA with Red Wood trees.

Lacey it is cheaper to book from over here than from the states, check out the prices before you actually book or was when we did go. Don't forget the ferry as well as Alcatraz
