I do along with other RMB, apart from excercise for the jaw and clean teeth, an important source of essential fatty acids, higher in vit A than other meats, adequate levels of the B vits, low in sodium, protein lower than beef, lamb or pork, importanly the dogs enjoy them.
the downside high in cholestrol.

Mine often get RCW, BARF diet, but also get fed Arden Grange dry. Main reason for the chicken wings is because they seem to enjoy them so much-yuk! Depending on the brand of RCW's you can be sure your dog's getting a good source of fresh quality protein compared to processed dog food. They're also good source of calcium for lactose intolerant dogs. If one of the dogs looks off colour or stressed I won’t give them as their immune system maybe lowered and I'd worry about E.Coli or Salmonella.

I used to give my three RCW Inca, but Mya was so squitty with them, I had to stop. Shame, because they all loved them. I didn't think it fair to give them to just two and leave Mya out.

Yes I give RCW along with lots of other different raw meats as Harley is raw fed.

Vicki - you could try taking the skin off for your squitty dog as it is quite fatty and it may be the fat that is giving her a "dire rear".

Ollie has raw chicken wings and turkey necks. He is fed a completely raw diet.
The benefit our breeder mentioned was calcium from the bones which they take as much of as they need from a raw diet and get rid of the rest naturally.

I've known a few dogs that can't handle the skin resulting in awful diarrhoea

t'is true :smt001 because they can't fully digest the bones, when the bulk passes through it presses on and empties the glands in the process, high fibre diet does the same.
