Full collie?

Had a few people recently say Maggie doesn't look like a full collie, asking what she's crossed with etc, one of them being the vet!

Just wondering what your thoughts are!

Small Video and 2 pictures..

Hi Hannah I would say collies come in a variety of shapes and sizes and Maggie could easily be a full collie.

If there was a cross maybe a working spaniel.
I wouldn't be too bothered if she was mine, she is lovely anyway

Im not bothered at all. I know she's a full collie and seen her parents and grandparents when we got her. Just wondered what everyone else's opinions are and if you could maybe see another breed in her since so many people reckon she is a cross lol

HannahnMaggie I wouldn't take any notice. I have had more than one people on more than 1 occasion ask me if Ace is a Husky. Below is Ace, look like a Husky to you?

You should of seen the face I pulled at them when they asked me if he was a Husky I have come to the conclusion that the majority of the general public do not know dog breeds! I would say Maggie is a Border, most likely from working stock. Working stock are bred for the job, not colours which I would say is why she isn't classically marked.

Of course without knowing the history of the dog you cannot say for sure.

But to me she looks like a Border Collie. As others have said, they are one of the breeds that vary a LOT in looks.

She was bred from working stock she has a very strong chase and herding instinct. Its funny watching her try to round up other dogs
