Do men have a lower pain threshold, or are they just wimps?

I'm asking this question because 10 days ago, my OH ken had a hernia repair done, so i have been playing nurse maid.
He has had no problems, just a little swelling .
Well the way he has been going on moaning and groaning you would have thought he'd had major surgery.
Now am i being unfair to him about the amount of pain hes in baring in mind that it is 10 days ago now or is he just milking it for all its worth or is he a wimp?
I'v had ops myself, so i do know it can be painful, but it didn't last this long. He has been checked out and everything is fine.

Every one is different. I have known some men with an incredibly high threshold and some with almost zilch.
Feeling pain is different for every person, male or female.

Wish him better soon xx

In biological and evolutionary terms, individual men are expendable. At some deep level they know this and spend their lives desperately trying to convince women that they are babies and therefore need nurture and protection. They have learned that infantile behaviour when vulnerable is a useful survival trait.

OR
they do it because it works.
