Less than a week!!!!!

OK, less than a week until my ACTUAL driving test!

I'm 26 and been learning (on and off) for 5 years, I drive well (mostly) and have passed my mock test, but I'm terrified! I'm scared of failing and perhaps even more of passing and driving in real life

I know how you feel.........

I failed my first 2 tests (nerves) I really was ready to give up, I decided to do it one more time, but this time I tried really hard not to let the nerves get the better of me

So for me, it was 3rd time lucky I've been on the road nearly 8 years and never had an accident.....

Good Luck, you can and you will do it xx

Just don't put too much pressure on yourself. The joy of driving tests is that if you fail, there is no limit on the number of times you can take it. So it isn't like an exam where failure = the end of the world!

It was 3rd time lucky for me. First test I stopped after about 10 minutes as I was so nervous and knew I had failed several times over. Second test I was fine and failed on a silly mistake, third I breezed through and only got a couple of minors.

Thanks guys
My twin passed on her 3rd too, I'm hoping it's 1st time lucky for me as I'd really like to be able to have some independence, but I'll have to see how it goes.

Good luck, try and be as calm as possible and I'm sure you will be fine. You have been learning for a lot longer than some people who are pushed through tests too quickly imo so you have good experience behind you.

I passed 1st time but I still maintain my driving instructor (who couldn't stand me) bribed the examiner so he would never have to see me again!!

i passed first time too, but was convinced i had failed in the first 5 minutes as i stalled doing my emergency stop, so after that I chilled out cos thought i had failed, and i almost kissed him at the end when he said I had passed.

Having said that I had an accident 2 weeks after and wrecked my car so realistically probably shouldn't have passed !! 12+ years later i think i am alright !! LOL

good luck !!!!

Don't do what my mother did when she finally passed (9th go) - kiss the examiner and dramatically exclaim "you don't know what this means to me... I can go to ASDA!"

Good luck. I passed my driving test 1st time although I was almost 40 before I took it. Just try to come across confident, thats what I done, even though I was a wreck inside and it got me through. I almost crashed into a car at a junction on the way back to the test center too, but I done an emergency stop and just missed it. Acted calm and he still passed me. If I had panicked it may well have been a big fail.
I look forward to hearing you have passed very soon
