Barney's now 8 months and I couldn't be happier with him. Just to look at him makes me smile.

Hi Shane - Barney is doing really well ... what a star.
No mention of your Westie - how is she and how are they getting on together now as you were having problems with Barney being a little over exuberant with her when both off lead ... that was some time ago though so I'm sure you've ironed out any problems.

Much better Jenny, I keep her on lead until Barney's had a run round. They are very good friends and she does tell him off now and again if he gets to much.

I don't leave them together when I'm out yet, Barney stays in the kitchen and Daisy in the living room with a child gate in-between the two rooms. Barney could actually jump the gate but doesn't bother, he just lays on his bed where his crate used to be.

I've given up with training clubs now as I couldn't find one that I was happy with. The down side is that he's a little too interested in other dogs when I'm trying to train on the common, but there are more positives than negatives in doing my own thing.

I'm still hoping to enrol Barney as a PAT dog.

Barney has really grown since the first videos you posted of him - and I think you are doing a fantastic job with his training!
