Good Luck

I was 27 when I took mine and swore all the way through it and I had a go at the examiner when he told me to calm down

I blame it on the nerves

But . . . I still passed

Good luck! It'll be such freedom for you when you pass!

I passed on my third attempt - I was crippled with nerves, so went to the doctor and they gave me something for them which I took a few days before and on the day of the test, I then passed on my next attempt! If you are really bad with nerves, maybe you should ask the doctor for something too? Best thing I ever did.

I did the Pass Plus test with my instructor after I passed, which got me a couple of hundred quid of my insurance (the local council were running a safe driving initiative), so managed to get the money back for it, can't remember how much it was but it wasn't a lot - about £70 maybe, well worth it for the experience as well.

I passed my test in the Summer of 2008 when I was 22, I'm now 26 and haven't had so much of a scratch (touch wood!).

Try and relax and concentrate on the test. Listen carefully to the examiner!

All the best to you.

Thanks everyone for your kind best wishes for today!

Well...I failed. I wasn't nervous, only got 6 minors and drove really well....then she made me do a turn in the road on a hill like this -> \ <- It was really steep and a steep camber too so as soon as the brake was off I'd roll and would have to brake again...then on reversing I had to rev it up to get it to go backwards and it went slightly up on the pavement. I'm really annoyed that she chose such a hard spot to do it, it was a busy road with a blind corner too and people coming round fast...ANY other place and I would have passed. Really upset. Now I have to spend another £100 because of that.
Onto the next one...and back on the bus for work

Thanks again guys
