Dog breath!

Roxy has got bad breath, always has had since we got her at 5.5 years old.

3.5 years later and a scale and polish at the vets and it still stinks!

I clean her teeth every so often and give her chews and bones. She gets the same food that Molly gets really (different brand of kibble), dry AG mixed with ND or JWB pouched. Molly's breath doesn't stink!

Doesn't matter what I feed her, her breath still stinks!

I'm wondering if it's got something to do with her gut?

Not that I'm that bothered, I can live with dog breath obviously, but I'm just wondering if there's something 'wrong' that needs seeing to?

Any idea, anyone? She's just over 8.5 years old and has no health issues.

Thanks.

If her teeth and gums are OK then I guess the smell will be comming from the tummy - there are food supliments you can get to reduce doggy breath
(assuming she is OK cos she has always been like that)
Ben always smells of what he has eaten when he barks in your face - thankfully he dosent like fish any more

i dont really know, but if her teeth are ok i would think it could be something from the tummy...

i remember when i first gave jake tinned food (was mixed with his dry) and his breath stunk after it. luckily it just went after a day but was horrible. and i always find chappie gives him stinky breath...

My Kayos always had bad breath from a tiny puppy. The vet said I was just unlucky that the good bugs in his gut were the ones that cause a bad smell. He was like it all his life though the strength of it vatied.

Thanks folks.

Her teeth and anal glads seem to be fine, her diet is fine too. I guess it's just a case of she has dog breath, and that's that!
