Nine Years Ago Tomorrow

I lost my pony, Lady It was the first pet i had that ever died and i was so heartbroken

She was the best horse i could have had.. and i only got to have her for one year But she was 27 when she died. She had two tumours, one on her spine, the other in her brain, and she had various other problems but she was a happy pony! The weekend before she died she won a cross country event, so thats how quickly she went downhill..

Anyway, may not be online tomorrow but wanted to put a thread up for Lady... Wasn't she beautiful?

Here's some pictures of her jumping just the summer before she died.

And one of her with my other pony Max, who died the year after from Cancer In the last ten years of their lives they'd only been apart for a year between me buying Max and getting Lady (they came from the same person). Poor little Max was heartbroken when she died

Shes gorgeous! They both are. I love palaminos. She looks like Nadia the pony we have at the stables where i teach!
I love looking back at all the ponies i grew up with. I have such fond memories. I have walked into some of the older ponies & found them dead. It was heart breaking Back in those days ponies were PTS by a bullet. I'll never forget the sounds of when Jet was shot. He had really bad colic.
Bless him, he was about 30 years old.
Just think of all the good times you had together!!!!

All the best Julie X

Oh sweetheart, she was a gorgeous little palomino, I know how you feel, I still miss my horses and ponies who have passed over and the grief I feel (same as with my dogs and cats) still catches me out and I think of all of them often. She was so very pretty your girl. The little pony Max is an absolute double for a little five year old welfare pony we have in at the moment. I know how you feel and lots of hugs to you from me and my horse and pony and the welfare ponies we have here too. :smt049
