Am forwarding this to my pal in Kent who has taken some fantastic shots of feral parakeets in his back garden recently. If you click the image you have to look for them but they are everywhere! He took another where they were sat on the heads of a row of dying sunflowers - one parakeet on each flower head! Such a fantastic photo he had it make into an 'oil painting' type picture and sent it to me for Xmas! I must try to find the photo of it.

That around Ramsgate/Margate? I know my OH went on a uni trip not long ago and they saw many parakeets amoung the houses.
