Coldsores?

Eddy has a red sore on his lip. It did seem a little swollen before but is now the normal size just red and it looks sore.

It doesn't seem to bother him but he doesn't like me touching it and at first I wondered if he'd slipped and scuffed his lip but it's happened before in exactly the same place.

Could it be a reaction to something or a coldsore? I don't know if they can get coldsores or not

I have never heard of a dod getting cold sores but there must be far more knowledgable people than me here.
I would keep a close eye on it if it were me.

Dharma used to get acne when she was younger, often around her chin and lips, making it look like coldsores. How old is he?

It could be a spot, my Boxer used to get them I just used to squeeze them and clean with saline!

Teagan gets spots that often look like coldsores!
We just keep them clean, and put on a bit of savlon, they soon clear up

i use sudacream hun it works wonders.

We have seen this sort of thing before.....if it recurrs and in the same place, I bet he is accidentally biting his lip - havent we all done that at some stage ? Sudocrem or 1% hydrocortisone cream from Boots will do the trick !

Oh quite possibly then Thalice... Its always the same place and it could quite possibly have been a bite mark that had swollen a little bit. As it went down, there was a little round scab the size of a tooth mark.

I didn't put any cream on because he is forever licking his lips but it's going down now and the hair's growing back
