Yes it does June and I think it will for along time probably till I shut the door on this place and say goodbye to it. I think I need to literally move on to move on.

Those were the days. No hats, no saddles and usually no bridle if swimming in the sea off Shoreham beach. Now I just get wet walking the dog.

Brenda wasn't that hard on the horses hoofs and fetlocks, that beach is so steep and so stoney not small stones but big ones or did you go off the beach area by the river Adur?

Can't remember exactly Moyra the beach has changed a lot in 50 plus years. Oops giving my age away again. I know it was easy to do and certainly OK on the horses. They loved it. Do you know this neck of the woods?

Thanks Brenda and happy birthday to you on the 28th

Yes June we only got one set of presents from relatives, too expensive being Christmas for separate ones. Funny their children had two sets i.e. Christmas and birthday. Mum and dad and our neighbour (surrogate Aunt) always made sure our birthday present was better than the Christmas one. The other thing that annoyed my mother was her sister sending us a birthday card "to the twins".

Hope now you have straightened the finger things improve quickly.

I hope Gordon is ok and not suffering cash from wallet withdrawal symptoms

Have a good evening everyone.

Brenda, love some of those houses right on the top of the beach. It has probably changed again because I was there for about just under 5 years in the early 90s. That's about 24+ years since I moved away back to Essex. Lived right opposite the bridge on the high street.

Had an email from Graham with Horatio and piccies and just had some of Taran on the beach, all my babies and grandkids are growing up to be extremely good looking Brenda, I used to take the ponies to the field, cantering along the grass verge, 4 on each side, bareback, not a care in the world. Couldn't do it nowadays can you imagine Girls all sorted with more clean bedding down and cleared out all the stuff I put down this morning as it is sopping. got them some tripe for tea and got that ready with veg, cottage cheese and low fat yogurt. Having a cup of tea, fire is lit, with coal and logs on the top, its beginning to feel a bit like Christmas, now where did I hear that before

June do hope that now you have straightened the finger out a bit that it will heal quicker without any long term problems though I suspect you will get osteoarthritis in it in time.

Talking about accidents with horses, my daughters beautiful 3 year old gelding trod on my right foot and my big toe on that foot has never been the same since. That was back in the 70s. bless his heart he has long since gone to the rainbow bridge, if horses are allowed.
