Dogsey Book Club????Interested???

Sorry admin wasn't sure where to put this, please move it if I've posted in the wrong place!!!

Thanks to Vicki's thread the other day a chat started about books...making me think that it may be nice to have a 'book club ' thread. We could do dog books (Jan Fennels for example always provoke interest, perhaps if we all read the same one at the same time we could quote and comment???) We could have a poll to see which book to read? I also fancy doing some fiction books as well though. So...what do you all think? Anyone interested??? Could spark some interesting debates I reckon!!! :smt002

I'd say yes and no. I'm not a fan of dog books really and if I witness one more disagreement over Jan Fennell or anyone else for that matter I will scream. It always provokes comments from people who have never even read the book being discussed and that can put people off unfairly. Would be interested in a general book club though, fiction, faction or whatever.

Would this book club have a "membership" or would it be a free for all? With all and sundry chucking their views into the mix. Sorry not trying to be a wet blanket, honest.

I think it is a good idea, it gives us something else to discuss besides dogs! Only the ones amongst us that are avid readers would probably be interested or get involved although it may encourage those who don't read much to pick up a book. I would probably only be interested in fiction though as I very rarely read dog books unless I particularly need to look something up.
