You can't give paracetemol to dogs. Only aspirin. Hope all goes well.

aww thanks you guys! all of you! so we went to vet monday and got "loxicom" 1.5mg a day oral suspension. and get this - the liitle old silly girl is still limping but been jumping on my bed and we just back from the forest chasing (albeit slowly) sticks! she is now very tired so i think if she wants a stick / ball to chase i will just kind of "lob it" a few feet lol. life in the old dog yet eh folks?
wont be "pushing" her though.
she is a hell of a "real" sheepdog - always chasing and watching every movement. gotta love border collies!

I've also been told (by vets and old hands with dogs) that asprin in low doses is ok in a pinch. Taken for a period of weeks it can lead to stomach ulcers, so it is to be avoided for regular treatment. Better to get advice from your vet.
