glad to hear Bert is doing well is he clicker trained? If not some clicker training might tire him out making his brain work. Or what about a big marrowbone from the butchers, I scoop the marrow out as it gives mine the squits but they spend hours chewing and licking the bone.
xx

Thanks everyone been back to the vets today as bert decided he wanted to take his splint off as it was rubbing so he is now strapped up again. I was thinking of a stuffed kong but have to keep an eye on his weight as he isn't allowed for walks for about 8 weeks so was trying to think of something that didn't involve to much food and he gets bored really quickly he can be mid chasing a ball when he's well and just stops and goes off into his own world he's a special boy lol

Hi Have you tried quite life remedy,I know from people who show their dogs swear by it,as sometimes the dogs are in cages most of the day and the only exercise is to a small bit at the back designated as a toilet,so dogs become bored, but with quiet life they seem to cruise through the day,you put it in water a lot of the people who use it give it to the dogs a week before crufts others give it the night before travelling, its worth a try and also giving him a large bone with fat taken out,the other thing you could do is put a cover over the splint spray with bitter apple, and the dog will not touch the splint.
