Organ Donar's

Having just seen the News at Ten, and the little 7 year old girl that lost her life after being struck down by a car, and her parents having to make the decision about allowing her organs to be donated - made me wonder ?

Do you carry a donar card ?

Would you allow your organs to be used ?

I carry a donor card and have made sure that all my family are aware of my wishes. I have no problem with organ donation (although not sure they'd want my liver after 4 years as a student )

i carry a donor card, and have no probs with my organs being used and allmy family know this - however i think ikts a very difficult decision if you had to make a choice on your childs behalf - and something i pray i never have to do...

i believe that everyone should have to OPT OUT of organ donation instead of IN and that way perhaps more organs would be available and it woudl have to be discussed

I carry one but not to include use of eyes, though mine are`nt brilliant anyway without contacts in.

There was talk on a program the other day of changing it so that organs could be taken unless a person had a card stating that they don`t want to have organs taken. Not sure how I feel about that

I'm a registered organ donor & I would much prefer to have an opt out scheme, after all you don't need the bits & pieces after you have gone
