Changing a website

This may sound like a daft question(nothing new for me) but if someone has created a website for you is it only them that can change anything on it?

Hi Sweep.

The website will have been hosted on some web space. In order to make alterations to anything stored on that space, you need the username, password and usually, the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) server address for that space.

If you don't have those, you won't be able to make changes

However, you could set up another site that you can make changes to.

That's what I thought - the trouble is my Daughter's partner created our Website and we have just paid for site name, but all I really want him to do is add a Guest Book as so many people have asked me, our site not having one. Thanx for your input
