There IS life after rust

More pics of my latest crazy project, the jeep I decided to bring back to life 8 weeks ago is MOT'd and on the road and she's running great.

All my family and friends said I was "off my head, it could'nt be done". But I persevered, I worked every day on it, sometimes from 9am till 10pm, I've lost count of the number of elastoplasts I used, inevitable when your'e restoring a rust bucket like that one.
I totalled up the hours I worked on it and it comes to 350 hours.

I did all the work myself with no help from anyone, boy it was tough fitting the rear springs on, a lot of bad language was used believe me.

Anyways, here's the before and after pics.

Both rear springs were broken.

The petrol tank was downright dangerous.

This is all that was left of the fuel pump support, it's supposed to be bolted to the chassis but was dangling free and supported only by the petrol pipe.

Here she is, the finished job.

Not bad for a restoration but it was a hard slog, it's the last restoration I'm gonna tackle, I've had enough.

Looks good Denis. Though I have to say you clearly are a bit mad...but guess we knew that anyway.

And gee...you got a lotta patience!!!

Well done you.

Well done you! I was wondering how you'd been getting on with that.
Good for you for finishing too, I know a lot of people who start these projects with all good intentions and then never finish them.

Thank you folks, glad you like it.

I am the resurrection and the life,
Any car that believeth in me shall live again,
Even tho' thow hangeth in rust and are rotten through,
Ye shall live again.
