I think you have answered your own question to be honest - it is personal choice and there are pros and cons for both.

I have a dog and a bitch and they get on fine. If I were to get another now, I would have another dog, and in fact I think from now on I will have dogs as I just prefer them.

My boyfriend has 7 collies - only 2 are bitches and they are the ones who pick fights, all the males are really laid back.

Good luck with whichever you decide and I must insist on pics when you bring the little one home

I have three bitches, one spayed, and the spayed bitch can be horrible....the other two are fine, but they're 8 months and 7 months, do you have the space to keep the entire dogs away from a bitch in season?

Yeh have space to keep them seperate would take a bit of army manouvers but could just divide the house, have been leaning towards a bitch, but she would need to be very self confidant,, to handle these tearaways lol

Depends on a lot of things I'd say.

Are you planning on breeding?

I have a spayed female, and an entire male and they get along just fine.

Although, if and when I get my British Bulldog, I will get another male
