Lump on my dogs leg; unsure what it is...

Hi, I noticed a lump randomly appear on my dogs front leg about 2 weeks ago of the top of my head.
Thinking she had just caught it out on a walk i though nothing of it until 4 days ago it was quite a bigger big then when i first noticed it.
She knocked it last night taking a scab off which she isnt bothered by at all (she normal squeals at the slightest thing!) Though she isnt keep when i want to take her leg to look at it she tries walking off.
But having trying to find something similar on the net all i can find is tumours?
Ive tried taking a photo best i can, it is around the size and hight of the end of my little finger tip. And the yellow tinge you see in the pic is an ointment i put on last night to help it with all the bleeding it did!
Any help please?
Thanks

It could be anything but I would probably get the vet to check it out if its not healing well.

That looks nasty, and I agree with the others - definitely something for the vet to look at because it could be anything.

Good luck, and I hope that it can be easily and quickly sorted out.

Rufus had a small lump appear in his groin which I was keeping an eye on, there was no sign of injury, it turned into a nasty infection quite quickly as he had a foreign body in him, never did find out what it was but he needed ab's, I wouldn't leave it too long.

If you're worried enough to ask (which you obviously are) then it's time for a vet visit.

It's never worth hanging on too long as not only does it increase pain, but also costs.

Let us know what the vet says x

I agree - a vet visit would be the safest.

In the meantime, I wouldn't put anything on it - IMHO it's better off drying out.....

Keep us posted and good luck x
