Edzer - a super sweet boy of 5 years old

We are delighted to introduce you to Edzer a super sweet boy of 5 years old and 28" to the shoulder. He was no longer required by his trainer along with his litter brother Nedzer and so found safety and a rescue space with us and is now looking for his forever home and family. Edzer would love a foster home while he waits for his forever home.

Location: Kennels in Norfolk.
Key points: Cuddly, confident and very affectionate around people, loves other greyhounds, happy, lovable, bouncy but very quickly calms down.


~ Personality ~
Edzer is an endearing black boy with a small white bib and white toes who will look very smart once the condition of his coat improves with some good old fashioned TLC. This lovely boy has the sweetest personality and such a sweet little face to match! He is a very affectionate boy who the kennel staff have fallen in love with very quickly and we feel that his personality will just blossom once in a home.

~ In the Home ~
Sadly Edzer has never been in a home environment before but generally keeps his kennel space as clean as possible and loves treats so house-training should come naturally to this lad once he is in a loving home.



~ Other Animals ~
Edzer is very good with other greyhounds and around other dogs at the kennel but has not yet been cat tested although this can be arranged prior to adoption if required.

~ Out and About ~
Edzer really enjoys his walks and is a good boy on the lead. He can be a little excited at the beginning of a walk which is understandable but he very soon calms down and is a pleasure to walk alongside. Ongoing training will really benefit him so he may eventually go off lead but this must not be attempted until his new family have had adequate bonding time and ONLY in a safe place away from public roads and livestock.



~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are very calm, mannerly dogs that are used to being handled. They can fit into a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
We feel Edzer would be happy living with at least one other dog for company as he is very playful but he also has the potential to be happy as a single dog with lots of attention and with someone who is at home for most of the day and also quite an active home where he will be taken for nice long walks. Please note we do not home dogs to households with children under the age of 8.



~ Where Am I? ~
Edzer has just moved into a foster home in Norfolk so you will have to travel to meet him and also collect him from Norfolk when the time comes for him to join your family. This lad would benefit so very much from a chance to live in a foster home, we are always eager for new foster volunteers. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Edzer is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flead and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
