Can dogs eat strawberries?

Hi

Worked out that Robson likes bananas and apples but not veg and Lady likes carrots and brocolli but not fruit!

Was going to try them on strawberries for a bit of variety and sweetness but not sure of they are allowed to eat them. Does anyone know if they can?

Karen

Mine love strawberries, Bertie used to jump on a ledge to get to a strawberry plant and he tried to climb the wall to get ones in a hanging basket.
They also love blackberries and pick them off the bushes themselves.

For those who might be interested, I just found this, and these are all SAFE for dogs.

carrots
- green beans
- peas (I prefer to give them still in the pod)
- lettuce
- strawberries
- blueberries
- apples (fruit only; the seeds contain toxins)
- kiwi
- blackberries
- raspberries
- bananas
- peanut butter (great for kong stuffing)
- plain no-fat yogurt (great for kong stuffing)
- canned pumpkin
- raw meat and giblets

That's interesting about the apples, that you mustn't give the pips, didn't know that!

I very much doubt that any dog or human could eat enough apple pips to affect them.

Anyways, today I discovered that my new puppy loves cabbage (I might be regretting that later!) whereas Georgie spat his out!!!

A long time ago, I used to let my dog eat my apple cores. I quit when I discovered he quit having a loose bowel movement if he didn't get his apple core.

Adding this and that can often cause diarrhea. A dog eating a commercial dog food doesn't need this and that.

My dogs help themselves in the summer/autumn to soft fruit & plums, tomatoes. As long as the dog doesn't have a reaction to eating them my dogs have the same food I do(I'm a vegan)as well as their own

I suspect she likes cabbage because Mummy gave it to her
Hubby always says Mo will eat anything I give her or that she sees me eating

Probably! She likes to have something off my plate when I get to the kitchen, seeing as how she's laid there ever so good whilst I've eaten it, and all that was left today was a bit of cabbage, so that's all she got! Funny that Georgie took it, and spat it back out on the floor though!!!
