Huge knuckle bones - do I need to freeze first?

Hi, I hope I'm in the right area here...
I've just got some humongous knuckle bones from my local butchers. I'm hoping this will keep Mya occupied when I leave them in the morning, she is going through a destructive stage at the moment

I just wanted to check do I need to freeze them to get any germs off before I give them to the dogs or am I ok to give them as they are?

I presume they will still be ok to have their kibble in the morning as these are so big I doubt they will be able to eat them?
Thank you

They will be fine as they are... you could freeze them if you want to make them last longer..but they are fine to feed as they are..

My 2 are gonna be very happy in the morning with their half a cows leg each or whatever it is
Hopefully my kitchen walls will keep the rest of the paper on them too (not mentioning any names Mya)

Maybe don't let them eat the whole thing in one day because too much bone will make their poo very hard,

If their poo is very light coloured and/or crumbly then they've had too much bone.

Hope they enjoy them, my staffy would love one

Thanks, I let them have them for an hour this morning, you should have seen the slobber on the floor before I'd even got them out of the carrier bag They were a bit smelly though so gave them them in the garden. I was a bit anxious about leaving them with them on their own while I came to work so I'll see how they get on with them for a couple of hours later

Its right that sometimes germs may cause disease to our pets its better to clean well before giving them. Check Bone is how many days old, if its a fresh one its not required to freeze. But I feel its better to get the dog's feed from a standard butcher whom who can believe and also that he don't cheat you with old ones.

Nothing happens to them, since they are so big it will make them occupied for some time
