Home Insurance - who are you with?

And for anyone who shopped around and changed... did you save much?

I have been with a broker now for about 8 years and he always finds me the best insurance quote for my needs and I am quite happy with them. I have never ever had a claim though (touch wood) in all the 18 years I have been buying my house. I have my home and contents insured with the same broker.

I fell out with my home/bricks and mortar insurers - Zurich - so cancelled my policy and switched to Barclays. Their premium is £19.11 per month, is better than Zurich, and saves me over £120 per year - so Zurich may have, with my compliments, a rather large raspberry :smt019

I'm with Barclay's for my home insurance. I have home, contents and garden cover which costs me about £25 a month whereas my previous insurer, Cornhill, were charging me £30 a month for the same cover.

Norwich Union via HSB bank, we hope tochange soon, keep well away from them, we have never made a claim in 20+ years but recently claimed for a tv set, supposed to give us like for like we ended up being very much worse off with a tv set far inferior to model we owned as apparently those and those like them out of stock now, so watch out, say no to Norwich Union
