Sick Staffy. Lethargy and Funny Walk. Any Ideas???

Hi My little staffy seems to be unwell with no obvious reason as to why.
Quick run down:
I woke up this morning I called him to hop out of the bed and he just kept collapsing. When I carried him out side he could walk but it was as if his legs were all very very tense. He can't seem to run. His tail has been in between his legs and he is very sooky. He is not his happy wagging tail active self.

The vet has checked him over for ticks and broken or injured bones or muscles. Besides being blind he seems to be healthy but he obviously isn't and I am very worried.

I just have to watch him for the moment but I know he is not well and I feel lost as to what to do.

Can anybody help ???????????????????

Thanks

I don't even know what to start searching under to find any suggestions

I am sorry about your Staffy. I can only suggest taking him back to your Vet and asking for a thorough health check blood tests et., if not willing to do that maybe go to a different vet and ask for a 2nd opinion.
Someone more experienced will be along later I am sure with some good ideas.

Sorry to ask is this your mom's Staffy??and what age is the Staffy your talking about.?

My first though when you mentioned about his legs, was something to do with his spine or neck region.
But when you mentioned he was blind, I thought of your Mom;s dog, who you say has kidney trouble.

Blood tests are needed anyway, and sooner rather than later, IMO as for your vet checking bones, muscles etc and saying he's fine without tests, wouldn't be good enough for me, I would go for a second opinion.....sorry but when my dogs are obviously unwell I want answers, and tests are the way to get them

You know your dog better than a vet, and if you know he's not well....then he's not well. And me, I'd refuse to let a vet tell me everything was fine, if my gut feeling told me different.

Go back (IMO) and ask for tests. Best of Luck xx
