They swell up a lot before actually bleeding. Keep her away from all male dogs until after she has bled, she will bleed for about a week, go clear for a week then bleed again, but this cannot be relied on as sometimes there is a white season where there is no blood at all. You will find yourself with an unwanted litter on your hands if you continue to let males have access to her

i am understanding you. i dont let her come close to males. i just checked it couple of times to assure that its not silent heat etc. so i met her with males in my presence.
so you want me to wait untill she bleeds ? are you sure that she will bleed even its almost 16th to 17th day of her swelling. what you suggest ?

I would keep her indoors or at least away from other dogs for at least another ten days and then check that she has reduced in size to near normal. I say near normal because some bitches don't go back to how they were in size. Some seasons from start to finish last 28 days. Some with bleeding some not so.

It isn't always the case that they ovulate on day 10, I had one that ovulated on day 21, one that ovulated on day 19 and I have one now that ovulates day 19, whilst another one is day 10, and I have heard of them later than that. Your vet can blood test for you,but that gets expensive as it is every other day, I speak from experience here by the way. Males won't be interested in her until she is ready to ovulate, she will flirt with them and they will flirt back, but she will not let them until she is ready, so therefore keep her away from them unless you are there to observe and in control of the situation

Mine eat normally in or out of season. She may have had a white season, in which case no blood. A case of waiting and watching I think

No, you just have to wait it out, there are no set rules, or if there are, dogs haven't read them yet
