I fed my dogs Royal Canin and both suffered upset tummies. I changed to Orijen and it was like a miracle cure. The shop will definitely take the food back simply because the date is out on it, but to be honest that is unlikely the reason that you little dog was unwell.

Good, it is human nature to blame others for our misfortunes when most of the time they are down to our failures.

Some lessons are learned the hard way however if this food was NOT over the "sell by date" then the retailer did nothing wrong.
