ARSHIE (MARSHMALLOW) 1yr old Beagle

ARSHIE (Marshmallow) is a lemon and white beagle boy, a real poppet, whose Mummy has died. He is only a year old and is good with everything. He doesn't deserve to be in kennels, and needs his new forever home. His sibling works as a sniffer dog in Cardiff Airport and it's only due to lack of finances or they would have taken him on as well. He is the larger type Beagle, not the small chunky show type. His Mum taught him to speak etc and he knows basic obedience. The only thing recommended is not to let him off lead, as typical Beagle - his nose kicks in and he wanders off. The family tried to keep him, but their larger dog would not accept him, due to Arshie being young and harassing him to play when he wanted to sleep....so unfortunately he was signed over to us. Arshie has sadly come back to ARC as his new owners were finding him a little too stubborn & energetic. He is looking for a family where there will be someone home for quite a lot of the time, and who is prepared to put a lot of work into his training. Beagles are a true working breed & need plenty of exercise & mental stimulation and Arshie is no exception to this. He is a friendly boy, and gets on with other dogs, children & adults, but will chase cats. Arshie is not the usual show-type beagle, but has longer legs and is bigger in the body & we would prefer a home that has experience of this type of breed, so that he doesn’t become a “yo-yo” dog, but can settle into a permanent, forever home.
