Ready to spay???

Hi all

You may remember my panic when Ruby had her first season, now that is well and truly over we are thinking about booking her in to be spayed she will be 10 months old on 28th Nov.

Is this a good time or should we wait until shes older??

I have read some people like to wait until the dog is more mature but at what age?

Thanks

I think as she has already had a season then it would be OK to spay. She has done most of her growing and her hormones are working properly which is what I like to wait for. I think she'll be fine!

I agree with Becky i prefer to wait for the first season and then after that is fine. To me aswell it says the dog has matured enough

There are lots of threads on here about when to spay. My vet likes to spay before the first season so she is plenty young enough.

I would wait till number 2.
It is supposed to be the best time for spaying is mid cycle, but if you don't know what her average cycle length is you won't know when is the best time to book her in.
Holly was done mid cycle and she never had any problems.
