For Taff;s Mum

Glad you enjoyed Killarney,, chuckled re "jaunty cars" as they are Jaunting cars ie that you go for a jaunt in. Had a free ride in one once as the jarvey ( they are travellers ie tinkers) took pity on me limping with a walking stick at Muckross Abbey. Imagine driving the narrow lanes at eg Gap of Dunloe behind three of these,
But they are a unique part of Killarney life.

HI Rosebud

It was certainly beautiful round Killarney. Some of the houses round there are stunning as well. Quite a few people on the trip said they could imagine living there - me included. I could tell the drivers of the "Jaunting Cars" are tinkers - we couldnt understand most of what they said LOL Ours was pointing out some things of interest & pointed out a tree - he said thats an Irish Oak tree - I said whats the difference between an Irish Oak & an English one - he said - These grow in Ireland
A couple of photos for you - bet you recognise them

Yes we loved it. I suppose the weather made it better though. I think I could quite happily live there We will have to plan another visit maybe next year - couldnt get used to the "funny money" though All the coins look alike

It was so clean everywhere as well. No litter like there is round here & the people were brilliant - everybody was so helpful, they couldn't do enough for you
