Munster Circuit

The Republic of Ireland is split into Provinces (no I didn't know until after I moved here ) and the bottom left section is known as Munster. When I was showing in the UK, a contingent of the (best) Dalmatians went over to "do the circuit". The Munster Circuit is basically five shows in a week, if you count one in Dublin the day before, and it's very famous. Now I am here, I am going to do it..... touring around South West Ireland for eight days in a (small) motorhome with the spotties, I am told I will either love it or hate it. However, I am really looking forward to going as I haven't been that way yet.

The plan is:-

20th August - Dublin - Navan Working. Pastoral and Utility Show
21st August - Clonmel (near Waterford)
23rd August - Killarney
25th August - Limerick
27th August - Tralee

28th August - limp home very gingerly, dogs on their backs with feet in the air!

We get several foreign judges as Ireland is a full FCI member now so that should be interesting.

Has anyone "done the circuit" before? What is it really like?

I've been to the one in clonmel and it's very friendly and people there will swap tips with you and give advice if you ask for it, Aug is usually the best month weather wise and i might see you there, missed the entry date but we're going anyway cause I want to show Simba off to his sire's breeder. Good luck for the shows anyway.

A good few of show people in my breed do the 'circuit' but I never have. LOL I'm the one that goes to Stafford instead of Leeds so I don't hold you much hope of actualy being able to find my way through to the end.
