war of the worlds

with Tom C ....anyone seen it yet ?

i have seen it . bit of a vehicle for tom cruise i thought . dakota fanning was just plain annoying in it .a little gory in places over all i rate t an 8/10
If this movie were a meal, it would be a very satisfying prime beef steak with a dollop of unnecessary cheese.
The special effects were amazing, (the first lightning storm was the PERFECT way to get the audience on the edge of their seats, the rest of the movie made sure we stayed there) the thrills were non-stop and executed brilliantly - and whilst some of the characters were inevitable clichés - the rebellious teenage son, for example - the story evolved at a fast enough pace that you didn't have time to get irritated by them.
thought the ending came a bit suddenly and with perhaps not quite enough explanation but overall I really enjoyed this movie -

aint seen the movie but loved the album

My oldest daughter and her husband went to see it on Firday and LOVED it ..neither of them are TC fans but both thought he was fantastic in it

Hubby and I are fans of the orginal soundtrack

is it anything like the original war of the worlds ....cos i loved that ?

Haven't seen it myself, heard that it was good but had a let down ending...will have to see it then to find out

Yeh i have seen it and thought it was brilliant not really into sci-fi films but enjoyed this have to agree about the effects they were great.
