How can I convinse him??

Ok so Hubby is very intent on letting Ivan out of the crate the second that he enters the room if Ivan had been put in there. So now Ivan is thinking that anytime someone (especially him) enters the room he is going to get let out and he gets himself overly worked up. I cant get hubby to understand that he needs to wait till he settles and whatnot to let him out. Its driving me CRAZY!!

This is so funny, our trainer at our dog club says it's often harder to train the husbands (yes, it tends to be the women at class) not to undermine our good work by letting the dogs get away with murder when they are around!

I have a similar problem with my OH playing rough with Pepper she's so good normally but he just lets her get silly. I think he has finally seen the light because our daughter got in the way and Pepper accidentally caught her, she wasn't hurt but she had a shock and I think OH finally realises what I've been on about!

My OH was like this with Obi when we came in and Obi was excited and it used to make him worse, Obi learned quicker then the OH did!
