Never got a "bought" letter, but, when he was a puppy, we used to "put one up the chimney" for Kali - scribbly writing signed with a pawmark, to ask Santa for the things he wanted, like a Kong and a plentiful supply of "biskits"! I have no idea what Kali thought of it, but he was very happy with the kong and the biskits!

(amazed at the power of a puppy to get adults doing even more silly things than usual!)

Yes I did it for years I used the second link but I have used others as well.
I still have them somewhere and the kids were chuffed to bits.
I have also kept their actual letters to santa that were lovingly sent(supposedly) at the end of Nov despite several requests for them to be sent the month before .One year they both turned up at bedtime clutching their letters to Santa......at the end of June...soon knocked that on the head when I told them only one letter a year could be sent and if they sent them too early then any new toys they may want to add to the list they wouldn't be able to have as the list had already gone.
There was a horrified look and a quick discussion and a hurried retreat back to their bedrooms Santas list in hands
