Any Mac Air or Pro users?

Trying to decide between a Mac Air and Pro,Christmas present for my daughter.
She is doing GCSE's,then hopefully on to A levels and Uni
Are either worth the huge price tag?
If so,which would you recommend?

Thanks xx

I had a Mac Air for an extremely short space of time, couldn't stick it and no idea how it worked really. Sold it on ebay to someone doing exams, I think your daughter will be fine on it, just me that couldn't get to grips with the technology
