Hi,

I spoke with Shadow's owner who has called a rescue. I did ask if it was a specific breed rescue and she said it was but that they had no room for Shadow at the moment. Are they likely to do that?

Shadow isn't in any danger and will not be mistreated but he's not getting the attention or exercise he should do so would the rescue see this as a non-urgent case?

I did ask her for the breeder's details but she refused. I was going to publicly name and shame but I think she caught onto what I was thinking.

So for the time being Shadow is still in his own home, but is still awaiting a proper forever home.

Sadly Mal rescue have to occasionally say no as room is limited, though rescue has been recently overhaulled.Try posting on one of the Mal forums. Most forums would not let you name and shame though.Hopefully a home will be found soon, especially with an unusually missing tail.

Thanks. Will do. Tghe good thing is that Shadow is well careed for and very much loved. He isn't mistreated or badly cared for and I know there are more urgent cases where there has been cruelty that need to be resolved as a priority.

Perfectly understandable, albeit frustrating!

Really hope Shadow gets his forever home soon, he sounds just adorable and with no tail sounds even better. like a big giant australian shepherd, is it some thing that happens a lot with Mals ? ( no tail ).....

He sounds a boisterous delight! Hope he finds a home soon. I feel for the owner - she must be heartbroken..... as well as being ill x

Mo
what she said,

I would think the best place for this dog would be in the hands of experianced mal people.

HI All,

Shadow's breeder is :

His breeder is:
Mrs L Robb
89, CARMEL ROAD,
WINCH-WEN
SWANSEA
SWANSEA
SOUTH WALES
SA1 7JZ
017920 418295
SNOW_DOGS@HOTMAIL.CO.UK

I've already called her and told her what I think of her. Probably won't do any good in the long run but it made me feel a whole lot better.

I'll see if I can attach the photos I have of him somehow. I ahve them on e-mail. He's gorgeous - wolf grey and white.
