Opie's new friend

i met up with my sister and her staffy, jj, yesterday morning down by the river. it was the first time our dogs had met up so i wanted somewhere neutral where i could let opie off lead to greet jj. the meet up went very well, and jj even enjoyed his very first walk off lead he took his lead from opie when it came to recall. we only had one fail when a couple came down some steps swinging their little jrt in their hands by it's harness he was a bit excitable when first let off lead so opie gave him a warning growl but by the end of the walk had calmed down considerably.

the only bit of drama we had was when jj decided to throw hisself off the river bank. that resulted in me sprawled out on the bank dangling in the water through the nettles, with my sister sat on my legs so i wouldn't fall in to pull him out i'm just glad opie didn't follow him in.

it was very wet, but they both like paddling luckily. though after his dip in the river jj might not be so keen on water anymore
