We got every puppy pack under the sun when we got ours, the breeder seemed to collect them! I kept the good stuff, like the clicker and the toys that came with some, and took all the food down to the RSPCA.

Thats what I do, keep the things I need such as clickers, treats, storage tub and have even had pets @ home vouchers. The food goes to the local dogs home or the charities the vet deals with.

I think its cause once upon a time-Proctor & Gamble who own Eukanuba carried out experiments on animals to see if their food benefited domestic pets. The animals were eventually destroyed and disected to see how their internal organs etc coped with the food they were fed which im guessing is no different to other pet food manufacturers practices.

Selfish as this may sound-i dont have a problem with this if it can benefit pets in the long term.I used to feed my old Rottie Eukanuba (amongst other brands) and he excelled on it.
