I've heard lots of good reviews on Joint Aid I personally give human supplements but I've recently heard that many vets are leaning away from glucosamine & chondroitin and more towards green lipped mussel which is interesting.

My dog seems to be stiff / lame on his back leg after running. I'm currently resting him from vigourous exercise and am feeding him the loading dose of joint-aid.

Is restricting exercise the best idea?

You would be best seeing a vet because treatment will vary from condition to condition. For some, rest is best, but for others it may be that you need gentle but frequent exercise, for example.

My GSD has joint aid & I've noticed a real difference.
She's dashing about on her walks again & not stiff in the morning.

What does your vet say?

How do you know whether it is strain or sprain, muscle or tendon?

Treatment will differ according to the actual injury.

My dog fell off a wall (about 20ft) when he was about 4 months old and shunted his pelvis forward about an inch. The vet recommended as he was growing to crate rest him for a month to allow the pelvis to fuse (it was the connection that broke rather than the bone).

We crate rested him and once that was over and done with he was bouncing like a puppy and had no problems at all. He's nearly 1 now and it's recently that he's started with this lameness..

I would still have him checked it might be that a chiro, physio or osteo could be of help too.

My sister's Lab has joint problems and although only 5yrs old was getting very stiff getting up in the mornings and also after longer walks.

We got that Yumove stuff recommended and she's been on it for a while now. Sis says Taz has greatly improved since being on it, so much so that she is no longer stiff getting up in the mornings and even has enough energy for zoomies again, which is fab news.

Never used it on my dogs, but I know my Sister would highly recommend it!
