I assume these are one off costs for the adults and not the pups?

All bar one are one off costs yes, the other one is an annual test, however, one of my bitches is a carrier so I will have to test all her pups as I would only keep a clear.

Many health tests are annual and need to be kept up.

Regardless of that, it's having the litter also that costs money, inc, equipment, bedding, extra feeding, extra vets visits, paperwork, registrations, then keeping the pups fed, bedded, examined, etc etc etc until they go.

Basically none of these bills would arise without breeding in the first place, but much more is spent on the dogs career before breeding even takes place.

You're trying to convince the wrong person, having had litters of rescue pups I know how much the above costs. It would all certainly be covered by the cost of one breeder sold pup.

Do you feed top notch food to the rescues or whatever has been donated? I know with the rescue litters I've cared for it was basically whatever was donated by the public, except I just couldn't do that so paid for proper food out of my own pocket!
