fab long lasting treat idea!

I know, I know, I own the best dog treat company in England (heresay in my household!) and I come with an idea that does not involve my company!?

I bought some cheap side plates and saucers from a car boot sale and i put some mince, egg, liver, sausage meat on them and baked them for ages on a low heat..........end result ...........mega long lasting, stimulating doG treats! If the crockery is not oven safe - shove 'em in the microwave (so long as the 'treat' virtually welds itself to the treat)...........how good is that?

And then, throw the crock away!

Tonight, mine had unsalted sausage meat (from the butchers) baked, on a low(ish) heat for 45 mins on side plates, they took over an hour to get them clean(ish).

Alternative to kongs?????????????

You can get cheap crock from any charity shop, fete, boot sale etc etc.

Once gave one of my GSD's a roasting tin with stuck on yorkshire pudding on it, left her in the kitchen with it and she rattled away for hours and then joined us dozing in the sitting room. When I went into the kitchen to put the tin in soak I found that she, no doubt being unable to lift the pudding from the tin, had eaten the corners of the tin as well.

Have to say my present breed believe in eat first and ask if it was edible later.

An enamel plate (from a camping shop) would be better and less breakable.
