Growling Rottie...

Does anyone elses Rottie make a growling noise when you cuddle them or give them a good rub????
She never looks cross or curls her lips or shows her teeth but it does worry some of our friends
It doesn't bother me cause I know the difference happy growl and warning growl

We used to have a terrier that did that - completley freaked anyone who didn't know her

I saw the biggest rottie I have ever ever seen yesterday in Petsmart, sorry i know I've gone of topic but he was huge!

I have an elkhound who 'growls' when cuddled.We call it talking...its not a 'nasty' growl(no teeth etc) but more a doggy purr!!

My friends rottie does it all the time. It's really funny cos it seems like he's telling you to rub abit harder or move across a bit

well my staffy will push his backend up to youi for a cuddle and *growl* until you give him a good rub/cuddle

Dizzy also has a hilarious habit of hooking her bum under the arm of the sofa and bobbing up and down..all the while making a noise that sounds like 'hubbbaabbbuubba'
The sofa is lifted off the ground at one end ....funny as though
